Question:
Can anyone give me any information about working as a volunteer at a center for vets suffering from PTSD? Like locations, for example, I know there’s one in West Haven, CT and one near Dartmouth, NH (too far north for me), but how about something in the Washington, D.C. or Philadelphia area(s)? tia

Thanks, also can anyone recommend training programs for PTSD? (I found a few on the Web but they all seem to assume some graduate training in psychology already, or a Ph.D. or that you are a mental health professional what about where to start this process, with a focus on PTSD?) tia

You are going to have to ask elsewhere about this. This ng is NOT for professionals. Smile and there will be something to smile about! Nancy
Response:
yes I hear volunteer work is good therapy – I myself have volunteered at the local senior citizens complex (note to self – never show up at a senior citizens complex dressed as the grim reaper) — gone Chopin, be Bach in a Mozart! Oliver L
