If you don’t mind my asking………what kind of neurological exam are you going to have? Are there specific tests that can show dysfunctions in the neurological system which are prevalent in PTSD sufferers? Thank you. MRyan "JBOLOIDEGARAY" <jboloidega…@aol.com> wrote in message

Response:
MRyan,I had a complete neurological physical exam and will undergo a myelogram with CT scans simultaneously. This involves the injection of a contrast substance directly into the spinal cord followed by the scans. This exam is performed for structual evaluation and detection of any physical abnormalities that may be corrected with surgery. My condition is related to physical trauma and not a result of having ptsd as a cause of the pathology. It has placed me in the chronic severe pain department which has been exacerbating the ptsd. Interestingly enough I have been placed on Neurontin but once again this med is being used for control of nerve root and spinal cord pain, it was originally used as a seizure med but was found to be effective for pain management in the Central Nervous system, I will post again if I notice an improvement in either department. That is the extent of my knowledge at this time.I hope you are well,Stay Healthy, John De Garay
