Question:
I’m sorry the group has been invaded. Every once in a while, it seems that somebody wants to mess with my life. I’m not going to try and defend myself. The only thing that I can think of is that somebody has been using my screen name, because I’ve never threatened to kill somebody, or claimed I’ve got lupus, or whatever else these posters are suggesting. I had an argument with Luanne on another group about a scientific issue. Rather than discuss it, she insulted my nationality, my education, and all kinds of nasty stuff. Then, she calls in these trolls to rake me over the coals. One thing I’ve learned to do is to choose my battles, and I’m not fighting this one. Anyway, sorry to have this spill over into this group. The people responsible are not very sensitive to the feelings of others, as if that needs to be said. I’ll see you all down the road, I hope. Best to all for the holidays, Lar.

We who’ve been around awhile know you’ve always been supportive here, and I for one am not ‘into googling myself’ all over the place. I simply go by what I read here, minus all the outside crap that’s dragged in. That’s why I’ve laid off responding to these ‘outside people’, simply tried to ignore them, as though they don’t exist. We don’t need turmoil at this time of year especially. And many of us are only too well aware of the huge war that went on here last year at this time and don’t want to become embroiled in another one. I won’t say a question didn’t cross my mind, but then I’m reminded of other situations where we’ve been inundated with negative and slanderous statements about other people here. Basically I try to go by firsthand experience, and I could not think of a single negative post you’d been involved in here, so I base my judgements on that. When all the negative crap was brought in here last year I based my judgements the same way and always remained true to what I knew of the person. I think he’ll attest to that……..I myself ‘flip out’ on occasion and hope that my basic reputation isn’t judged on those infrequent occurances…….
