Question:
- Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi Ann and Debbie, I’m familiar with Sylvia Browne’s opinion on suicide as well! I’m new to this newsgroup – sort of… a very long time ago (back in Feb 98) I was here for a brief stint and then I was misdiagnosed as having bipolar disorder so I was at another newsgroup for a longer stint and now I’m back, having been properly diagnosed as having clinical depression/PTSD
Right now I’m on prozac 20mgs (there’s my med-check) Have you seen the movie "What dreams may come"? Dealt about what happens to souls when you commit suicide too. Take care! Jane
No, I didn’t see the movie, but would like too…. And welcome to ASD Jane! ~Ann

My therapist suggested that I see that movie, since I was suicidal at the time. I got alot out of it. It definitely taught me that just because we think something, doesn’t make it true. Did you like the movie? Treasa – Lost in Louisiana

I just read Sylvia Browne’s book, "Adventures of a Psychic." Another thing she talks about is that your soul, before you are born, sits down with this sort of cosmic guidance counselor and decides what sort of events and obstacles you are going to have in this life. In other words, you decide whether you will be poor, rich, fat, skinny, happy, miserable, smart, dumb…you get the picture.
< sigh I never could make good decisions Cinda

She talks about suicide there…basically, if you kill yourself, you are immediately reborn into the exact same situation you tried to escape. <sigh There goes Plan B. I think about this often too…. I think my soul was crazy to pick all these bad situations just in one life. Maybe it wants to go through with it once and for all….. ~Ann
