Question:
I got a subpoena yesterday to appear in court in May as a witness in a child custody case. I’m a little (a lot) freaked but I’d take a bullet to the head to protect my "babies". However, I’d like to live a little longer and be available to help lots of children especially my son. A lot of my SP/PTSD comes from a very long history of childhood abuse. That’s why I have this passion for helping the little ones. Unfortunately the mother that’s inflicting the abuse has borderline personality and she’s capable of/has actually stabbed, shot, beat up her exhusband whom I will be helping attain custody. She also has been beating the hell out of this innocent child for years! It’s going to stop! Pray for me! Just wish me luck, any suggestions on how to stay calm in court? I do some unofficial social work/big sister functions for child abuse victims and it’s rewarding but this is a scary one. Big momma is pissed! I believe I’ll be okay, I’m a fighter but I do so much better writing than speaking. This is a big case and I gotta speak! I do take perphenizine for anxiety, anything better that anyone has tried? Your response would be GREATLY appreciated! …………Muse

Much credit to you for doing what needs doing instead of expecting "somebody else" to do the job. Good luck. I’m on your side. Hope you win the case.

Good for you, kids hold a special place in my heart too. (I have a 13 yr.old daughter) I’m sure your freind will have all the medical and/or police records that he needs, the best way you can help him is being a credible witness, meaning staying calm on the stand, Maybe taking a low dose of Klonopin or Xanax will help. You probably have alot more strength than you think you do. Hopefully once you start talking, your will to do good will take over. Good Luck my thoughts are with you! Pam
