It scares me so much to even think how much more stigma it would cause us if he would ever be diagnosed as DID. We already have to fight this battle now. May I ask why you are wondering if he is dissociative? And how would or should his being DID change how "justice" be served? Tjis was not a triggered my-alter-had-an-automatic-reaction on Tim’s part, if he is indeed DID; it was planned and calculated over LONG period of time. I don’t know if he is DID but I believe there is good cause to suspect PTSD. I’m not sure that knowing one is DID will lift any burden, my experience and from what I have read of others is that knowing is a burden in and of itself. If he is, he certaninly is not going to get any help. Whether he is or not , does not give him any excuse for what he did. He most probably did not act alone, he had accomplices, so dissociation could not be used to explain his actions. ACESTAR
