I’m told that I was an angry child. Always. From the time I was at least 8 years old. I figure that I was before then too, but I have no memories.

Lisa, The roots of my PTSD are from my peacekeeping experiences in Bosnia in 93. Now, what I’ve learned over the last few months of research on the net about PTSD is that the roots of the illness may be different, but the symptoms are uncanningly alike. After five years of suffering with this I just about feel out of my chair when I read a post from a guy that said he couldn’t prepare meals either, that it was just what he could throw in the microwave. I suddenly wasn’t quite as crazy or lazy, for that matter, as I thought I might be. Since then I’ve seen more examples of just how similar our symptoms are despite the root of the illness.
