My name is Patricia and I have PTSD. My "trauma" happened eight years ago and I wasn’t properly diagnosed and started recovery until months ago. My recovery includes meds and therapy. I have been dealing with numerous symptoms the past eight years… depression being one of them. Has anyone seen the movie "Not without my daughter" starring Sally Field? If so you will know basically what my PTSD stems from. I escaped from Portugal eight years ago with my daughter. I am now 27 and my daughter is 9… My life changed "drastically" due to that experience and I am and have been coping the best to my ability… which at times is not well at all. I would like to relate, interact, recieve and give support with everyone as well as people that have possibly experienced the following: abuse… physical, mental, emotional rape being held hostage (locked up) having a child taken away from you for a period of time life threatened/ attempted to be killed I appreciate any feedback offered and I am also here to offer my support as well, My e-mail address is: Take care to all and I wish you all the very best, Patricia. I can’t find anyone as of yet who has been through a similar experience as me… I have been able to relate in many ways though as far as symptoms and recovery go. Although we’d rather not feel like we need a.s.d., we do get positive reinforcement from it in the best of times. I hope this ng is helpful to you.
