Question:
Just learnt that phobias following ptsd are common, people learn the world is a scary place. After my traumatic event I became a bit scaredof heights and crossing a metal bridge or stepping off the platform onto the metro was a problem. Now taking medication and Ive calmed down. Last week I stepped onto a train, looked down at the rails and realised the problem had gone. best wishes estele

I am really glad that you found help in the UK and are now more mobile. Keep up the good work! Smile and there will be something to smile about! Nancy

Thanks Estele, i have a list of little phobias and a couple of big ones. I feel like a "scaredy cat" and often turn down activities that might prompt a phobic response, with excuses. I’m wondering if the meds i am on are losing their effectiveness after my having been on them so long but i know they make a big difference. Really glad to hear about your experience of wellness. May you have many more. kia kaha, Sarah EddaB <ed…@aol.com> wrote in article <19980928163151.29642.00003…@ng02.aol.com>… – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Just learnt that phobias following ptsd are common, people learn the world is a > scary place.
