Please dont egnore me im new!

Question:

Sorry for being obscure. Try the medicine.  Give it a fair chance. If it causes problems, you can quit taking it. Any problems it may cause will not be permanent. When you quit taking it, you’ll likely be back where you started. Doug

Sorry, Doug, I knew what you meant, I was just being silly. — Chuck

Here’s an analogy for the problem of having read all the past posts on Paxil. I read a newsgroup devoted to setting up a particular computer operating system (Windows NT).  Once, a prospective user of that system posted that he had been deterred from buying the system because of all the bad things he had read in the group, even though he thought he really needed the system. He finally bought it when someone pointed out that the only people who posted about the operating system were people who were having trouble setting it up for one reason or other.  For each of those posts, there were many who had little or no trouble at all. Of course, I don’t know whether that story had a happy ending or not because the thread ended there.  :/ Suffice it to say, if you don’t like it, you can always go back to your old operating system! Hi A, Welcome to ASAP!! I think the best suggestion I could give you is for you to tell us something about yourself. The Paxil that you’re about to start,  is that all you are taking for meds?  What dosage are you starting at?  What other meds have you tried in the past? You may have read some posts about Paxil’s side effects, but that’s only in the beginning.  I’ll admit I needed some help: Klonopin (Clonazepam) to get through the rough start and the increase in anxiety and PA’s, but I think in the long run, it was worth it. Although I can’t tell for sure what is helping me: the Paxil or the Klonopin, or both, I haven’t had a PA in 4 months. The Agoraphobia is a harder nut to crack.  Even the meds couldn’t push me out the door.  I had to do this myself, but of course the meds helped.  It’s almost like having faith that the meds are working for you.  Paxil takes about 4-6 weeks to kick in, so take it easy, and if you’re not taking a benzo, like Xanax or Klonopin, maybe you should talk with your doc.   All of this is my opinion, of course, but I was also where you are right now.  It’s from the suggestions and support that I got here on ASAP that I’m functioning better today.  So please, hang in there, and stay tuned to ASAP for some friendship and good support. — Chuck
