Overdosing

Question:

Sometimes when my OCD gets really bad, I feel like overdosing on pills. I wonder sometimes if I need to go to a hospital for help. I wish my medication could be changed because this is getting hard to ignore. Ugghhhh -Samira Rose

Response:

Don’t try and ignore it. I had thoughts of suicide at one point in my life (and I didn’t even really want to do it but I couldn’t help thinking about it). I was so depresed at the time I figured it would be better to die at my own hands rather than wait for some horrible disease like cancer to get to me. Of course, now that I am better I am glad my psychiatrist put me in the hospital and worked with me on this. A simple medication change helped me immensely. Don’t OD. It’s a gross way to die and even if you live, you might do damage to  your organs or something! Those suicide thoughts are your brains way of telling you to get help but some people are afraid to ask for help so they hurt themselves so they will get taken seriously. I’m taking you seriously. Tell your doctor, please. your friend, Ida Athlet3351 <athlet3…@aol.com> wrote in message

Samira;     It might be time to go to the hospital for a while.  It helped me. John — "though this be madness, yet there is method in’t" Hamlet Act 2 Sceen 2 Athlet3351 <athlet3…@aol.com> wrote in message

I can identify with you. I have suicidal thoughts 75% of the time. In addition to OCD I am diagnosed with PTSD and Panic Disorder. I got so scared of the thoughts that consume my mind, that I gave most of my pills to my therapist to keep for me. I just keep enough on hand to get me through a two-week period. It’s an  uphill battle. Samira, Your post raises a lot of concerns.  If you feel like overdosing, it is REALLY important to seek out help.  Going to a hospital would be a good idea.  I would also suggest talking to your doctor about changing your meds if you feel that your meds are problematic. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Athlet3351 wrote: > Sometimes when my OCD gets really bad, I feel like overdosing on pills.
