Hiding Behind Anonymous Email

Question:

Steve- I beg to differ.  I have seen BN attack more than one person on this newsgroup.  Sad, very sad indeed when an organization who wants themselves known for "good deeds" attacks writers on here.  It is NOT a wonder to me that someone MUST post anonymously with their views on this newsgroup. Geneva

I changed my email addy and then went anonymous because I got some shitty emails from Mr&Mrs Effay (FA)…..It was explained to me that they were probably trolls, I have a better word for it, but I don’t want that shit coming thru to my addy…..that is the reason I am doing it, no other…. regards, Lyn

"Geneva"   Listen to me and listen well for once.   I know who you are and you know I know who you are.  Are you with me so far? You take your nonsense and go away until your next trip over the border and I’ll shut the fuck up about who you are.  It’s gotten so as one only has to look at a calendar to know when you’re going to erupt and I for one am sick to death of sorting through your garbage to get to posts I have an interest in.   If you think I’m fucking with you just try me. Who are you? Why are you using my name? You’d better stop it. Sara

Yes, but if the screen name doesn’t fool anybody, or if everybody is fooled but can’t conceptualize it and therefore doesn’t feel like a fool and, thus, the screen name is not fulfilling its biological purpose of fooling anyone, can it truly be said to be an alias? Wouldn’t our terms be more accurate if we called it a pseudo-screen name? We could then file Chapter 11 and I would be able to buy another healthy white infant. DCK

You got it, I’m not. Kim, what do we have for our contestant today? What is your place in the Triad?

Guess. Are you another BN "wanna-be?"

Guess again. Are you Keri or Barbara’s brother?

No. But more clearly than ever, you’re a loser. steve Reply to:  stevewhite at ce dot mediaone dot net

We have one free copy of the BRAND NEW Usenet Newsgroup Character Minder – once only available as a Module of the USENET NEWSGROUP JOKE DETECTOR (patent pending), this usefull piece of software is now available as a stand alone application.  Need more info?  Here it is! Usenet Newsgroup Character Minder   Many Usenet Newsgroups have quite an impressive number of regular posters, all of whom are very familliar with one another.  As a newbie, you’re not quite as familliar with the "cast of characters", which can lead to really embarassing mistakes.  Now you can avoid the special embarassment that stems from incorrect attribution, because The Character Minder remembers who’s who, who’s what, who’s been doing what, who’s been saying what, and when (and to whom) they said it. What is your place in the Triad? Guess.

Jeans? Are you another BN "wanna-be?" Guess again.

She’s been guessing since she showed up here. Are you Keri or Barbara’s brother? No. But more clearly than ever, you’re a loser.

  Yeah.  So there.                                                         – Kim.

It sucks when someone has to hide behind an anonymous email to voice their opinions.  Some may feel that BN is a righteous group, but I and others have different ideas about them.  They seem to "rule the roost" on this and other newsgroups.  Their general rule seems to be "my way or no way."  Is that fair?  I think not. Geneva

Why are they so scared? It’s only e-flames! It’s not really going to burn anyone. I’m afraid this is a high-temperature ng…it’s meant for people with thick skins or asbestos vests. What’s the point of posting anonymous notes? Without some kind of credibility to back it, it’s only a bunch of words strung together. Rupa

I wouldn’t say ATTACK it’s more like a difference in opinion. In most instances when you think they are attacking someone it’s more like they are protecting themselves from the stupidity of others. I have been in this newsgroup for awhile now and no I don’t agree on alot of things but that’s my opinion and I voice it. I may not be right part of the time but that’s the way things go. Don’t you protect yourself if someone is attacking you? I do and I fight back. I don’t stand around with my finger in my ear while I’m being attacked. Inform yourself about BN before you make comments about them. And No I am not part of BN, these are my own opinion’s and feelings. Keri — Bred and Born A Bastard! And who says a Bastard isn’t loved!

Well, not that fast, partner.  There are plenty of BN’ers out there who are not so enlightened.  For instance, AKASmith is back with a new anonymous screen name.  And there are a few other people who can’t handle the light of day.   dck
