I am ok folks—-and thank you everyone for your concern—– with the fires raging all around but not too close to us.Well half an hours drive away it is a bit freaky! My house is surrounded my National Park. I found the smoke very triggering last night.after two weeks of it we have all had enough.there are 20000 firefighters doing good at the moment. I had a full night of palpitations shortness of breathe from the smoke.I had to sleep right under the fan to catch a breathe. I had terrifying nightmares about blood soaked room -my bedroom -sharp objects closing in on me with blood dripping all over me.This is a re-occurring one.I scream!! I end up in the loungeroom shaking all over and on my one leg without my prosthesis on. Soo lots of triggers at the moment.Summer is anniversary time for me I know that.My body never forgets. This too shall pass i tell myself. Hope the snow and ice up there isn’t causing too much havoc. Take care everyone. Helski PS JDe good to see you on the screen and thankyou for your wishes.

Helski, Come visit here. You can stay in my spare room and not worry about summer weather. (or fires right now, for that matter.) I saw some of the fire coverage on the news yesterday. I can’t believe they were intentionally set! Why on earth would anyone do something so dumb? Here’s wishing for rain to you… Risa She doesn’t have the art of conversation but unfortunately she retained the power of speech.

hehehehehe :-) HUGE SMILE for you Rick……finally someone ‘appreciates’ my choice of names for Nutville!
What better place for all of us to live?? As Jimmy Buffet always says……."if we weren’t all crazy we would go insane!" And soon many of us will/are reaching the age where we are considered ‘eccentric’! Then we can say and do whatever we want, being ‘a bit eccentric’ is acceptable, even smiled upon with patience….especially in the South! hehehehehe :-))) Luv, td but I can always hope!! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Best, > Rick

Helski, I couldn’t believe just how fast the Sussex Inlet firestorm blew the other day!! Its pretty graphic on Foxtel. I just hope you on the central coast are OK. I have friends at Goraki so they have heaps of smoke too. I didn’t get to Woodford this year but friends who were working there said it was pretty terrific. Its just up the road and its in the same shire, Caboolture, as me. The cyclone I wanted has appeared and looks like joining up with the one north east near the Solomon’s so we may get rain yipeee. Carton in the paper today depicts two tourists choosing Australia and the agent saying ‘which part- heat of Queensland, fires NSW, snow in Victoria and a cyclone in North Qld and Northern Territories. It pretty well sums up the state of the nation. Makes me consider starting to buy lotto tickets, to finance Nutville.

I’m not here much…been approaching something that I’ve put off long enough. Good reason too. bit of a trigger warning about old abuse . . . . . . . . .Need to put together as much information as I remember about specific things perpfather wrongly did. It comes down to specifics with the law and I think this is also part of my own therapy. I’m going to "do it" this week after hubby goes back to work and the kiddo is still visiting granny. Then I’ll take it into therapy. Hard thing, embarassing, being reminded its not my shame by hubby but really, at this stage, not feeling or accepting THAT. Its a normal part of this healing process, I accept that and I trust my therapist. I’m also "integrating" more; you know, allowing my female self to develop and for that to be O.K. because it wasn’t okay when I was little. I’m in a good place. Pain has been a bitch but the great wonder patch has been a godsend. Brief interlude between prescriptions showed me just HOW MUCH of a relief these patches give me! Glad to see others, checking in, continuing on. Got a strange email from ng observer or old participant-made me feel sad for them and at the same time helped me see just how FAR I have come in healing from the painful scars perpfather inflicted and absent mother allowed by her mere absence. Life is going along, well, and I approach discomfort. Anxiety will be around I figure, in bigger proportions. Sigh, all for the greater goal of living a great life with PTSD. Come pretty damn far considering the role models I had and the intimate bond I have with my wonderful hubby. So, hey everyone, Kristine

No, it was overcast. I’ve missed two excellent meteor showers, because of clouds, too. The neat thing about planetary observation is it doesn’t change all that much from night to night. The second-best night is almost as good as the best night, and so on. Lar
