Thank you Anne, we had an emergency C-Section tonight.  Daughter and baby are doing well as of now.  He was 9 lbs & 12 ozs. and 21 & 1/2 inches long. He’s a big guy.  So glad it’s over and he’s out as she was miserable. sg

Awwwww, glad to hear that it is over and I’m sorry the process was so difficult.  Hopefully there will be a speedy recovery for all involved. Congratulations on becoming a grandma! Hopeful one

I spent the afternoon holding him, he’s a little sweetie, well, a big sweetie I should say.  Making big yawns and funny faces in his sleep. Nothing better than a new baby for making one peaceful, well nothing other than petting a dog.  :)   Thanks Z, sg – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> stargazer <starga…@hotmail.com> wrote in message > news:1Zyza.29543$HE5.16234@fe05.atl2.webusenet.com… > > Hopefully, I’m on my way to the hospital in a couple minutes.  Baby Jake > is > > on his way.  :) > > td/sg

Thanks you nv, but I was already a grandma once.  I have a grandson from another daughter who will be two in August.  He’s already well into the terrible twos though, trying right now to poke holes in that black fabric stuff on my stereo speakers.  I really want a granddaughter!!  One I can dress in pink dresses and hair bows and little frilly socks.  :-)  Thank you again for your well wishes, my daughter had to have more surgery today, but hopefully she is on the mend now.  I know it will be awhile before she fully recuperates so the positive thoughts are well appreciated. sg – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text –

Hi sg, oops, in that case I certainly congratulate you for becoming a double-grandma! :-) Umm…what about the other daughter, couldn’t you convince her to make you a granddaughter for a present? ;-) > He’s already well into the > terrible twos though, trying right now to poke holes in that black fabric > stuff on my stereo speakers.

Hehe…maybe he doesn’t like your music? ;-) You could play something like Balu’s song: ‘Look for the bear necessities, the simple bear necessities, forget about your worries and your stress….’ and teach him to do the bear dance ;-) > I really want a granddaughter!!  One I can > dress in pink dresses and hair bows and little frilly socks.  :-)

At that age it would be only a short moment of joy, I guess. Uh…how long do you think her clothes would stay pink? ;-) All the best to your daughter in hospital!!! (By the way, there has been some recent research done about PTSD following childbirth. Thought you may probably find this link interesting: http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2003-05/uow-nrc052303.php Dunno how scientifically grounded that is, however.) Take care and good wishes! nv
