Finnish Sauna with Ice Bath

Question:

I’m so damned sensitive to certain noises that it is not funny.  Today, somebody in the front of my apartment building had their stereo on loud. The bass boom-booming drove me mad.  I had to go up and BEG them to turn down the music.  Just certain noises do this to me, bass noise, being one of them. I am giving some thought to moving back to the midwest, and living in the country just for some peace and tranquility.  Popping xanax for noise toleration all the time stinks! Luanne

Response:

Last December I tried the Finnish wood Sauna in Finland and the ice dip with it. Cross-country sking included. Things were good for some time. Then I became aware of PTSD. That seems to explain the extreme behaviour more. Only thing I knew at that time I was sensitive to sound level and frequency and need to leave USA. Could not stand any sound hear. On the return things where okay for a while, until stress built-up May 4, 1998. Had a flashback then I searched the internet and came across PTSD description as defined by Dr. Leymann (http://www.leymann.se). The rest you know. So what is the group feeling on Finnish Sauna (212 F air temperature) and ice bath  for PTSD cure. Do I need to take a trip to Finland to cure PTSD ? Thanks for sharing. You all must be doing good since I am the only one who is doing the taking. May be you all are cured this week. The only one with PTSD today hear !
