Yeah, hurts you, doesn’t it! LOL !! You’re just like Tom – he can’t handle rejection either. Steve

Ignorant jerk. A troll-like post, as per usual, *designed* to disrupt the newsgroup by antagonising various people here. Presumably you’re attempting to bring Tom into a new flame war, in kbeth’s serious-minded thread, to disrupt the newsgroup even further. Or are you simply trying to be ironic? I doubt it. I see that Monkey has really annoyed you. I’m very pleased about that. We’re *all* contemptuous of your continual condescension. You seem to be confusing your behaviour with acting like an "adult". Try reading the stuff that I posted here (and e-mailed to you) about PTSD, since you apparently have zero self-insight. Steve

Hi kbeth, I think that there may be a variety of reasons involved. Ego and oneupmanship seem to be quite common factors. Many people in life, mentally ill or not, are convinced that they’re right all the time and that their opinions are sacrosanct. Some people just like to argue – after all, debating societies were established a very long time before computers were ever invented. And, of course, it’s easy to be aggressive when you’re not standing face to face with somebody because there’s no physical threat involved. I think that Monkey is the best-qualified person to try to explain this better (being a Sociology student). Monkey!!!!!!!!!!! What do you think??? It seems that all the newsgroups I’ve seen so far have more fighting and put-downs than content. I’ve been lurking at some scientific and academic groups and see the same type of arguing going on there too. I want to learn something but, all I see are people knocking each other down. I doubt people would talk like that to each other in real life, so what is it about the internet that brings out so much aggression in people? I’m no angel and I’ve had my moments too, so I’m not playing innocent. I just wonder why this happens. -kbeth ———————————————————— Get your FREE web-based e-mail and newsgroup access at: http://MailAndNews.com Create a new mailbox, or access your existing IMAP4 or POP3 mailbox from anywhere with just a web browser. ————————————————————
