depth perception

Question:

I lost my depth perception  today.  It happened while I was driving this morning.  Cars ahead of me no longer looked close and far away but rather large and small.  Everything remains to look flat as if painted on a sheet of paper. When I go to reach for a glass I often under shoot or over shoot and knock it over.  I want to touch everything because it looks so smooth and shiny, like wet paint, but still very very flat.  I will have to tell my doctor about this.  A medication increase is needed I think.  It is rather hard to drive in such a state. —Juniper

– Hate to see them messing with your head like that. The shrinks did not know what to do with us folks with severe PTSD and chose to experiment, hit and miss with drugs and just keep track of people to see which ones worked or gave some relief and which ones turned us into total head cases. All they did for me was to fry the brain cells by trying this and that, felt like a lab rat and none of the bleeping things worked but was one hell of a trip.  Crazy Lou  http://www.grizzadam.com/nam/homepage.html http://www.grizzadam.com/nam/middle_east_map.htm http://www.grizzadam.com/nam/images/skepticsaward.wav Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Hi Juniper, I get this one from time to time and it is quite annoying (not to mention a bit dangerous if you happen to be driving!).  It happened to me a few days ago when I decided to walk to the local shop – my entire depth perception just fucked up and it was very unnerving.   I increased my meds doseage and it hasn’t happened since.  I hope your meds sort this out for you. Hey, Juniper, yes, we wanted to talk about this mirror thing, didn’t we? I mean, if you look a cat into the eye, this can be amazing as well. I have some perceptions about looking in the mirror as well, but for reason of public space, I wouldn’t want to discuss it here (on the fly). Still, maybe in a chat room. — M. Hi Juniper, This is just a long shot, I know, but do you still have both eyes working fine? Can you hold up a finger at arms length & move it closer while keeping both eyes focused on it? Walt Juniper <juniper_pearl…@hotmail.com> wrote in message

Juniper, Should you really be driving when you are under this level of medication anyway? Have you thought how it might affect your reaction time if, God forbid, anything dangerous should happen as you are driving along? iswid Juniper <juniper_pearl…@hotmail.com> wrote in message

I have thought about it but I am dependent on my car.  I dont feel safe using busses and the places I have to be are too far to bike or walk.  I hope to God I never kill anyone in an accident. —Juniper – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -"iswid" <is…@iswid.co.uk> wrote in message news:8t9jv2$1l2$1@gxsn.com… > Juniper, > Should you really be driving when you are under this level of medication > anyway? There is nothing wrong with defensive driving. Where ever possible I suggest you simply drive less than the maximum speed limit. It doesn’t hurt to park on the side of the road and let the more impatient drivers go past. Regards, Dan…
