Question:
I am experiencing the symptons of our ptsd with the force af a cyclone. They (sx’s) are coming together with such speed that I have begun to believe I will not survive this battle.I am in chronic ,mod-sev at times excruciating pain which is not relieved by naproxen, moist heat, traction to my cervical spine. Now it seems that all my ordinary meds which have been effective are no longer working. This has been going on for appx.90 days.I amscheduled to revisit the VA neurosurgeon in 10 days but fear that If this continues I will no longer be a candidate for surgery because of the decline in my general health and overall physical weakness.I have been trying to overcome the pain but without success.Any suggestions would be appreciated.Asking for stronger meds is not an option with the VA,I tried once and felt it to be a very demeaning experience. I have had to have my meds "upped" and/or changed and have never had a problem with that at my own VA. Of course, I do have other complaints, but not about my own psychiatrist there. Best, Luanne
