We had someone for a while keeping track of ASA birthdays but that seems to have ceased as a process. I am going to start a new process in which I will ask at the beginning of each Astrological cycle who has a birthday in that cycle. All you new people and lurkers, please feel free to join in. Months are fine but not as much fun. How about Pisces Feb 20th-March20th? It cannot really matter to anyone if we go from the beginning of March to the end of March or Feb 20th to March 20th. The end result is to get birthday greeting out to an individual person. Melinda

Hi Mary My birthday was the 16th of Feb. I actually came back from NYC and went into such a depression that was certainly PTSD that I just retreated. I had something that was like a panic attack coming back on the plane and when I got back I was so overwhlemed by this huge sadness that I could barely function. There were days I just didn’t leave the house. I am not delicate having spent most of my life feeling empowered but I was absolutely incapable of even seeing someone act rudely on the road let alone watch the news. Last week I found out that I was going to be a grandmother and that certainly was enough of an adrenaline boost to kick out whatever I was going through. So I’m back and feeling normal again. In a sense it was a remarkable experience as I now have a much better understanding in my soul of PTSD. New York was different this time. When I was first there in September, everyone had melded into this community of humanity. Five months later it was back to business as usual. The olympics would have been much more fun. It doesn’t surprise me at all that you are a virgo! M

Thanks Kitt. Me too. I think I’ll plan to be somewhere I’ve always wanted to go for my 60th. That way I’ll be thinking of the beautiful sites and atmosphere and hopefully the birthday will just slip right on by. Susanne

I just hope I can handle 60 as gracefully. ;-} 60, last May was wonderful. My 2 children and their SO’s flew in from California to make a big party for me. My daughter’s boyfriend had custom built a wood shelf for our kitchen wall and I was dragged out of the house to ’shop for the party’ early in the morning while he installed it. Melinda, how are you doing respiratory/lung-wise these days? I was just listening to a show on NPR about the air quality in NYC post-9/11 and I started thinking about all the problems last fall after you where there. has that cleared up for you?
