Hey, everyone, I’ve just opened a usenet mirror of soc.singles at seduction.org. Anyone can read it, but you’ll need to register to post or have the software keep track messages for you. I know some of you might be thinking, "Why not just use Google Groups" or your own news reader like Outlook Express? Well, I admit, that might be best for some people. Others might enjoy the unique features you can only find at our forums. There’s lots of difference, really. For instance, usenet threads update every 9 minutes — Google Groups can take far longer to update on occasion. Also, a particularly cool feature for people who like to help others out, I think, is the ability to find ‘unanswered threads’. There’s a lot of flexibility, really. On the non-usenet forums, I have it setup so anybody can post right now. It’ll be ‘anarchy’ for a few weeks to see how it goes. Also, all the non-usenet forums are pretty much seduction and relationship oriented forums slanted towards guys, but that can change if I see that enough women have interest in this kinda stuff. Let me know what you think, and how I can make this more valuable to you. I’m open to feedback, and want to make the forums a cool place to hang out. Doh. I mean a mirror of alt.support.shyness. Sorry! There actually is a mirror of soc.singles and a few other groups, too. Stuf that you may or may not be interested in as you try to overcome your shyness. For some, I’m sure, dating and relationships are the last thing you have on your mind, as you just try to get out there and have any sort of contact at all. I grew up pretty shy myself with ptsd and anxiey disorder… quite a few scores against me… and I know I there were a number of steps to get out of all that. But if you’re at the stage where you can deal with other things, know that the other usenet mirrors and forums themselves are there. alt.psychology.nlp is also there with some great advice available from time to time on how to get over shyness and related complications.
