Question:
Hello to all, I hope all is well. To those who know me I will say that I am at home recuperating from neck surgery, the proceedure went well, the pathology reports are not good. In the words of my neurosurgeon " your C-5, C-6 nerve roots have been crushed". The delay in reoperating did not help my situation.I was not given a prognosis as far as function and relief of pain, we will do the best we can.Your support and encouragement will continue to be a source of strength and motivation to heal. The ptsd symptoms remain a constant, but I think I will have to place more energy into healing the physical trauma of surgery and try to remain consistent with those things that help me with the ptsd.Ya’ll stay healthy, John De

Hang in there! They are making incredible progress in spinal cord injuries, and have made progress in nerve regeneration. I have read some of your posts, do not really know you, but still all the best! Richard
Response:
Margaret and Richard, thank you for the positive encouragement. Perhaps, in time, we will all come to know and understand more of each other, Stay Healthy, John De

Response:
John, I hope that you are able to have the same relief I did during hip replacement last year. The healing/pain and going to the hospital (major trigger) was helped by the post-op drugs. I needed major amounts of morphine and INSISTED I got it. It helped me while in hospital and once home I took my pain relievers as needed – not abusing them, didn’t need to. The PTSD was manageable at the time while focusing on recovering with the new hip. Hope that you have relief =) Kristine
