Question:
Has anyone experienced a drift of not being able to do tasks because you are dealing with other issue which no one seems to understand or care. Everyone thinks they can control behaviour ? is ignorant bliss ? Does anyone have a good suggestion to reduce the drift ? Drift June 6, 1998

Response:
Thank you for the follow-up. My ptsd is documented by Dr. Leymann in Sweden (http://www.leymann.se) My HMO and my therapist does not understand the drift. I would like to know what worked well for you. If that is okay with you. I am in California. I am new.

Hello, Dodgen. It has been several weeks since I’ve been online. It seems like you are a new member here, so welcome. I would like to respond to your question: >Has anyone experienced a drift of not being able to do tasks because you >are dealing with other issue which no one seems to understand or care.
Yes, I have experienced such a drift, as you call it. When the PTSD symptoms first began, I could not do many tasks at all. My mind was obsessed with what happened to me. No one except my therapist seemed to care and understand. It was very, very lonely and nightmarish. Six years down the recovery path, with the symptoms minimal, I can say, "It does get better."
