Dear BB2, I had heard KAT mention something about your son having Lyme, but I didn’t hear anything from you on this subject in my limited browsing. I have been in the hospital for a hysterectomy and haven’t been online myself. I want you to know that your family is my prayers, and this note is a reminder of this prayer sent by me to reach out to you to ask God to heal your son and pet. Prayer helped me through my toughest times and it does work regardless of your particular faith…I had people of all faiths praying for Chris when he had his car accident and I saw clear evidence of its results. It looks like you are doing the right thing by going to KAT’s naturopath. I am glad that your son is getting the best medical treatment possible. God works through doctors too! Take care of yourself and your family first and just don’t worry about giving everyone else anything right now – I understand and support that completely! God bless you and your family, Bonnie

Hello, and I am hoping that things are going better for your son. I have been thinking of him, and you, often; I hope good wishes will speed his recovery! Benita

Hi, Benita. He seems to be improving, with the seventeen pills a day. Particularly, since adding in the Elavil (amitriptyline) for pain and sleep, he is better able to get through the day and night, in spite of the high doses of antibiotics, which he must take for five more weeks. We won’t know if he’s really licked the Lyme for a long time. We visited a naturopath and, with his current: – double dosage of amoxicillin (2000 mg a day) – 500 mg Zithromax a day – 25 mg Elavil at bedtime we added: – lactobacillus – a full multi-vitamin/mineral supplement – Cal/mag – Co-Enzyme Q10 – Milk Thistle – Cod Liver Oil – A sleep formula of valerian, passion flowers, chamomile, hops, etc. along with some dietary changes to minimize carbohydrates and starches and dairy products, add in more protein and vegetables, and cut out some fruit (he’s a fruit addict). Although it meant two hours of driving, I really liked KAT’s naturopath. Hopefully, we’ll be able to drop the Elavil once he’s done with the antibiotics, or even sooner. Although his report card was delayed until he could make up a number of tests, we did get it yesterday, and he only managed an 84 average, which is not very good for him, but pretty good all things considered. He really fell behind in Latin and Math, although he was easily able to stay abreast of the more reading-intensive courses, as his reading comprehension is superb. We had planned a relaxing family vacation of sun, sand, and friends and family we haven’t seen for a long time; which we thought would be very helpful to him and for all of us. Instead, we have had a serious and traumatic veterinary emergency. We are thankful our little dog is alive, he’s still at the emergency hospital, but we don’t know if he’ll ever be "normal" again … only time will tell. Several other things have gone wrong since about Christmas. The last time I had so many things go wrong all at once was four years ago, the year my son’s TS surfaced. A friend of mine questioned whether I was under post-traumatic stress this time
She has a point. This time, I have decided to "roll up the sidewalks" (the words of another friend of mine), and tend to the healing of our family, canines included. I just seem to be out of energy when it comes to giving back
I won’t be online much, as I’ve got to really focus on getting things better on the home front
Thanks for asking … BB2 BENITA M WINSLOW wrote: > Hello, and I am hoping that things are going better for your son. I have > been thinking of him, and you, often; I hope good wishes will speed his > recovery! > Benita

The son, The doggie, The mama, And the rest of your family! Thank you so much for all you have done to help people who need you, even those you don’t know (like me, for instance
