The Holistic Approach

Question:

I am new to this group, and have been on both sides of the anxiety/panic problem. I suffered for many years with panic disorder, and now work with many people who have these problems, presenting in many different ways.  My background is in psych/oncology as an R.N.  I am a certified medical hypnotherapist, and work with holistic tools in my practice. About a decade ago, I started researching the sugar/high-glycemic connection to panic disorder, as I was finding most of my clients ate a very imbalanced diet.  As I worked with them to change their eating habits, taught awareness meditation to recognize thoughts, emotions, and the body sensation connections, I realized that my clients were not only having less attacks, but they were managing them better. I then designed "interactive self-hypnosis" to teach clients to reframe in the moment, and to interfere with the progression of any panic attack which was rearing its head.  Most people have no idea how to utilize these tools, and this is very sad to me because if we can help ourselves holistically, we can do away with a large number of medications.  I am not saying that medication is never necessary, but unless we are working holistically, we will not know how much medication is really needed. Considering how often this group has been spammed by heartless charlitans, I find your presentation disconcerting.                                         – Arthur

My name is Tammy, I have suffered from complicated migraines since age 18.  I’m now 35. I also now have fibromyalgia.  Trying a new supplement to see if it helps. Called Colarad. My husband now suffers from post traumatic stress disorder from a drunk driver hitting him last Feb.  He walked away from the incident un harmed physically but not mentally.  He works driving for a living and is barely holding on.  I wish I could help both of us. One problem I have is the terrible craving for sweets and Junk Food.  Can’t get a handle on it permanantly. very frustrated. Don’t know where to start. Any Ideas???.  Thank you for your

Is it Calorad you’re trying? I just got a bottle of it on Monday, and giving it a try. Hoping for relief from fatigue, headaches, and to get more energy (I take meds for depression/anxiety). pam My name is Tammy, I have suffered from complicated migraines since age 18.  I’m now 35.
