Question:
Hi James. Go find a Rosenberg and Rand trained psychotherapist. On the table in the theraputic setting, emotional issues will come up and in tears you will start to "hit" your leg or something. I know what it is like, I did it also. The therapist just gently moved my hand/arm to the padded table I was laying on and let me "hit" the mattress instead of me – and then the tears came. Boy did they come out. And all it took was an act of love to redirect the phonomena energy into a healthy expression. Alan posted and mailed for comsec – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Does anyone know anything about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Psychogenic Seizures as they relate to child abuse? I’m being told that I have psychogenic seizures by my neurologist and a mental health specialist says I have PTSD. My basic understanding is that my father hit me so much that I started hiting myself. I’m seeing a psychiatrist on Tuesday the 18th. I have some basic information about both of these disorders, but I need to have as much information as I would like. Especially the diagnosis of the psychogenic seizures is questionable because of the test results–they were inconclusive but the doc went ahead and said the seizures weren’t epileptic. When I see the shrink, I want to know what I’m dealing with before he or she attempts to psychoanalyze me to pieces. Thanks, Rev.
