Some months ago there was a posting of a de-briefing primer or outline for sufferers of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Can someone please provide this to me by email? Need it desperately for spouse who is considering formal debriefing with therapist regarding rape of some 24 years ago. She is presently a PTSD sufferer.

PTSD should only be handled by a qualified therapist. I don’t understand why you would want the profile? I currently handle the PTSD debriefing team for a local fire ems and police service. when a debriefing takes place it could release a traumatic event that occurred in the person childhood that has absolutely nothing to do with the current event(that is to the untrained observer)and then the debriefer has to begin a long term follow up with the survivor to deal effectively with the new /old issue. questions?
