I have exactly these symptoms, and more… I haven’t been officially diagnosed with PTSD, because my parents refuse to pay for any decent counselling, but I’m fairly sure that I have it (taking the test at mentalhealth.com confirms it) > im wondering.. those of you who deal with these symptoms that i deal with.. how > do you it? > have you found any good ways?

I know these symptoms can be extremely hard to deal with, especially if your parents/peers don’t know about your illness. Especially the anger… I frequently shout and swear at my parents, because I simply can’t help it. I find one of the only things that helps is (and I know this sounds slightly corny) is to just bite your lip and take deep breaths… it also helps with spontaneous fits of crying. I don’t know if I could help with any of the other things, seeing as I don’t know much about you or your situation, but for the feelings of having practically no future I guess you could try setting yourself some long-term goals (finding a job you’re happy with, saving up for a car, etc) HTH, Sarah

IMHO, anyone who thinks that they have PTSD should be diagnosed by a qualified physician/psychiatrist.  There are different ways to treat it, but you should go to a doctor first to find out if you have it, and what the treatment should be.   Cath On 19 Jun 2000 03:21:48 GMT, liluvr…@aol.com (LiLuvrGrl) wrote: – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text ->hi..im just wondering how many of you suffer from PTSD (post traumatic stress >disorder). >it turns out.. i have not been diagnosed with it after all. Rumor has it that you have been kicked off of many support lists for causing trouble.  I was on one that you got kicked off of.  Why are you trying to traumatize people that have PTSD?  We need protection from strange folk like you.
