Finding a Cure!

Question:

I recently stumbled upon this reference, below, and thought that a few of you might be curious to research such data.  Could there be a natural herbal cure for our voices/dilusions/multiplicity?  Please let me know what you might find; and know that I too will happily do the same. Caution; slight theology ahead: 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 King Solomon "An exceptional knowledge of such incantations for the overcoming of demons was attributed to King Solomon. ‘Many spirits and demons did Solomon vanquish’ (Exod. R xxx. 16), although the power deserted him later in life because, as it is said, ‘Until Solomon sinned he ruled over the demons’ (Pesikta 45b).’" "An interesting reference to the subject is found in Josephus: ‘God also enabled him to learn the art which expels demons, which is useful and works cures for men. He composed charms also by which diseases are alleviated. And he left behind him forms of exorcisms, by which people drive away demons so that they never return, and this method of cure is of very great value unto this day; for I have seen a certain man of my own country, whose name was Eleazar, curing people possessed by demons in the presence of Vespasian and his sons and captains and the whole of his soldiers. The manner of the cure was as follows; he put a ring that had under its seal one of those sorts of roots mentioned by Solomon to the nostrils of the demoniac, and then drew the demon out through his nostrils as he smelt it; and when the man fell down immediately, he adjured the demon to return into him no more, still making mention of Solomon, and reciting the incantation which he had composed’ (Antiq. viii, ii5)." Talking about christian cures there’s that nice bit in the New Testament where Christ casts the demons out of the man posessed and they enter a herd of pigs who then run to their deaths over a cliff and the man is cured. Great isn’t it!

Looks like cruelty to animals to me 8(. a.

dont really believe in ‘demons’ but more in ’stuck’ or messed up energy …. ))) you can write things that trouble you on a piece of paper and then burn it, and consign your troubles to ashes; or you can burn candles to release stuck energy; you can take a bath and try to pass the ‘negative’ energy into the water and let it go down the drain; you can drink water and imagine it washing you ‘clean’ from the inside; any visualization in which you imagine the ‘problem’ passing from you into another medium, and then being symbolically ‘destroyed’ will do that same trick imo… anna — "blessed am i to dwell in this beautiful temple"

Not really, if the pigs were cured, there would have been ham or bacon enough to feed at least another 5000

multiplicity and posession are not the same thing.  multiplicity is dissociation.  dissociation and posession are not the same thing.  some current day theologist use the term "multiple" to refer to posessed.  as far as I can tell, they are not referring to the same thing as we here refer to when we use the term multiple.  what might cure posession would have no curative effect on multiplicity. what we here at asd seem to need to be cured of is the post traumatic stress disorder that causes havoc in our lives, not necessarily the dissociation. astri – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -King Solomon "An exceptional knowledge of such incantations for the overcoming of demons was attributed to King Solomon. ‘Many spirits and demons did Solomon vanquish’ (Exod. Not if you happened to be one of the pigs, and don’t forget the farmer wouldn’t have had insurance with galilleans mutual either :)

But none of the pious people around there would eat swine. Makes you wonder…maybe they were Roman-owned pigs, in which case there goes another felony in Jesus’ dossier. Jon

Where is the theology Spoiler?  Be Careful here! 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1   Don’t fret, ever heard of the biblical herb hyssop?  Could be the oldest antiviral/antibiotic around.   The Talmud, which is from what I understand, Is much of the pre-bible original text.  I haven’t yet located it.  The book Everyman’s Talmud is where the original post to this thread was based; but it gives only references to the Talmud’s books of Antiquities, Josephus, etc..  I haven’t located either of these books, as of yet.  The book; The Keys of Solomon, I will thumb through this afternoon, after work.  Thanks for the info, so much.  I am curious as to what powdered root was placed in that signet ring.  Just curious as to what the original writings, much which was handed down verbally by tradition, might hold. mcab

That had to be stopped right after PETA heard about it. They kept throwing blood at Jesus whenever he tried to cure anyone.

Then you run into trouble with the Jews who keep kosher.

I understand that there’s also a plant that you can put on JFK to cure that little death problem he encountered in `63. I recently heard about a weed that will remove the dents from your car.   And not a moment too soon – whoever did that to my car will regret ever being born. I hear tell that there’s a gas you can spray over D.C. that’ll make the politicians honest.  Some say it’s herbal in nature…. I’m thinking only cyanide could accomplish that (not that I’m advocating this – I’d rather see 95% turnout at the polls). While I’m researching, I’ll be sure to let everyone know that the things they hear are delusions. Yippie!!!!! Jeff the SO of a Delusional Person
