Question:
Hi, I’m new to this newsgroup and am going back and forth about being dissociative. I guess my question is about hearing voices. I talk to myself constantly. Sometimes my outward children will come out of their rooms and ask me who I am talking to. What I’m asking is are the voices loud or subtle? I would appreciate anyone helping me with this. Hmmmm…..theres a question I guess I never really thought about. Okay, for me, it depends on what is going on and if more then one insider is talking. If there is panic or something triggering things can be as loud as a New York subway station at 5PM….other times it’s just basic chatter….seems there is almost always someone saying something, weather it’s comments about what I am doing, or questions like "where are we." If I am in therapy and my therapist says something they <inside don’t want me to hear…it can be like they are conducting a "distraction symphony." Still, I concider it to be like a typical house hold of people…sometimes real noisy sometimes not. ….. Bet this doesn’t help much. Sorry…. They are seperate entities. I get the feeling that they manifest themselves so, in order to give themselves individuality; not that they actually belong to that particular audible voice. I sometimes suspect that one of my alters uses 3 or more voices. Can be very tricky at times. Of coarse, I am the weird one here. me
