Anyone suffering from hypochondriasis? I currently take Elavil and Klonopin (but cannot take SSRIs), and I’m also learning cognitive behavior therapy. Please respond ASAP, Carol

*laugh* Around here, the question might be "is anyone NOT suffering from hypochondriasis?" Seriously – the diagnosis of hypochondriasis isn’t used very much, but if you have panic attacks, hypochondria tends to go with the territory; it’s considered to be part of the panic disorder rather than something separate, in that case. But people with other anxiety disorders often have it too. So yes, I bet that lots of people here will be able to relate to you, even if they haven’t been diagnosed with the same thing. -elizabeth
